Hundleby Equestrian is delighted to be recognised as a BHS Pony Stars Junior Challenge Awards Approved Centre.

Through the British Horse Society (BHS) programme, we help children aged 5–12 grow their knowledge, confidence, and love for ponies while enjoying the great outdoors. Sian will be delivering these sessions Thursday evenings from 6th November.

⭐️ Pony Stars is our Junior Challenge Awards helping children to discover, develop and nurture their love for ponies and the outdoors.

Pony Stars includes over 100 exciting topics, designed to spark curiosity, inspire a passion for ponies, and encourage lasting friendships.

Every child begins their journey with a My Challenge Book to record their progress. Along the way, they can collect stickers, badges, and rosettes as fun rewards to celebrate their achievements.

Pony Stars will cover topics such as grooming, welfare, mucking out and riding skills. It’s not just about pony care and riding, the Pony Stars programme includes so much more – covering loads of convenient topics that we think any parent or guardian would value their child learning about, such as the countryside, farm animals, kindness, leadership, conservation, feed the birds, being green and healthy mind.

The programme is divided into four progressive groups, offering a wide variety of activities that develop riding skills, understanding, and self-belief. Within each stage, children explore themed challenges that build both ability and confidence step by step.

There are four key groups: Shetland StridersDartmoor DazzlersWelshie Wizzers and Connemara Champs. This allows for long-term progression with a range of activities that will develop knowledge, skills, and self-confidence.
